About the Central 7s League
Comprising of golf clubs in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon area, the league is currently divided over 5 divisions with 6 clubs represented in each. Each club plays a home and away match against every other club in the division with points awarded for win or draw.
Format is 7 players per team in singles matchplay. As well as a team competition, there is an individual ‘order-of-merit’ for players in each division, and prizes are given at an annual presentation day.
Our Team
We have a regular core of players, but always welcome anyone who wants to try the matchplay format against another club at home, or at another local course.
Team entry is open any Radley member with a Handicap Index of 18.4 or less. League rules state to be eligible, players must have submitted 9 cards in the previous rolling 12 months, 3 of which must be club competitions.
Each match consists of a round of golf and a brunch either before or after. On home matches we host the visiting team for a meal after the match at the College Oak in Peachcroft, Abingdon. This is paid for by the team with a £10 sub payable per home and away match.
